Get Involved
If you are organising a fundraising event, please let us know and we will publicise it on social media. We can also email you sponsor forms and/or send you leaflets about what we do too. If you would like to set up an online donation page for your event, we are registered on BT MyDonate. This means that you don’t need to collect any money yourself, and gift aid is automatically claimed if the person donating online ticks the gift aid box.

Support us
For Schools
We are very grateful to all the schools that support us, whether it be by holding non uniform days, cake sales or sponsored walks. We can come in to your school to work with classes, or to lead assemblies, all free of charge. These sessions aim to show children where the money raised goes and how it helps local children. Sessions are practical and are done very sensitively and take in to account the age of the children and specific needs of the class or school.
Where does my money go?
Everyday Essentails
We provide the little things that might have been forgotten or needed during the child’s stay on the ward. This includes shampoo, toothpaste, sticker books, magazines, toys and games. We also provide vouchers for nearby supermarkets so that families can buy what they need for inpatient stays.
Harry’s House
The trust is fortunate to own a static caravan in Mid Wales, which families can use for much needed time together. Families are able to use the caravan and the park’s luxury facilities free of charge knowing that they are not far from the hospital if they need it. The caravan is also used by bereaved families and the wonderful staff who give so much to the children and sometimes need time away too. The local children’s oncology and haematology community are welcome to book time there.
Special Gifts
We also work closely with the hospital in Telford to grant small wishes and individual requests for children. These gifts are unique to every child, based on the hospitals knowledge of each child in their care. Gifts we have provided include a garden playhouse, white goods, financial support and mobile phones for teenagers to keep in touch with friends.
Family Fun
We give children gift vouchers for local shops, restaurants or places to visit so they can spend quality time with those they love, or buy a little toy or game to help pass the time in hospital. We hope this helps to ease a little financial pressure at a time when families most need time together. We also provide vouchers for local supermarkets throughout the year with additional vouchers at Christmas. We provide Pantomime tickets for the local theatre each Christmas and chocolate treats both at Christmas and Easter for all the children and their siblings.
Perfect Pillows
After losing their hair from chemotherapy, children sometimes find ‘normal’ pillowcases are rough against the delicate skin on their bare head. We give every child some soft fleece pillowcases to try and make bedtime and resting a little more comfortable. We also provide fleece blankets too.
Memory Bears
Sadly, not all childhood cancers are cureable. We offer loved ones the opportunity to have a patchwork quilt or a teddy bear made from their child’s clothing, something to hug and remember. The Trust will put parents in touch with people who can do this for them and will pay for the quilt or bear to be made. We help with funeral costs should the worst happen.
Supershoes UK
We pay for children to have a pair of Supershoes if they would like some, and have linked with this UK charity to make sure this happens!
